Today we will be watching the next episode of My Place. This clip is called ‘Sarah’ and is set in 1808. This week, you might like to take notes whilst watching the episode. This will help you with writing your summary.

After watching the video, write a summary of the episode in your Reading exercise book and upload it to Google Classroom. This might include:
Listing key characters
Listing key events in order
Resolution of any problems
After completing your summary, enjoy 20-30 minutes of independent reading time.
We will be completing activities related to the episode for the remainder of the week.

Last week we spent time researching background information on our decade & planning our writing. This week, we are putting all of this together to create a historical recount.
Step 1: Please go back over your plan from Friday. If it is complete, you may begin your draft. If it is not, then you need to complete your plan prior to starting your draft.

Step 2: Writing your draft - When writing your draft, it is important that you draw upon all of the research you have conducted last week, to add an authentic aspect to your recount.

Step 3: Read over your draft to ensure it makes sense.
Step 4: Upload your draft to Google Classroom.
Learning Intention: We are learning to set up our weekly spelling program online.
We will be successful if we:
Highlight the 8 words we want to study this week
Add 2 BOB words to our spelling list
Upload our weekly spelling words to our google classroom.
Students to highlight the words they have chosen soccer to study for the week- 8 from the list, and 2 from BOB list.
Weekly Spelling Words: /gu/ making the 'g' sound as in guitar
They then complete the ‘Monday’ column on the Weekly Spelling Sheet and stick into spelling books.

To warm up today I would like you to answer the questions relating to the area of this robot.
Main:
We are designing and creating our own Area Robot and then calculating it’s area. After that we are developing 5 questions for others to answer about our Area Robot!
Extension:
Use your ability to count in arrays to help you find the answers to the following questions.
