Learning intention: I can tell others about an animal in a short, sharp and interesting way.
Success criteria: I am successful when I can make a short video about an animal that is interesting for the audience.
Resources:
Device to film a short video on or do a voice recording.
Home Learning Task
Students create a short ‘Show and Share- Information Video.’
This does not need to be shared beyond the family unless the child chooses to put on the Google Classroom Stream.
Students need to choose an animal of their choice.
Students can use props such as teddies of their animal of choice, pictures or they can film live from their backyard with an animal.
Remember to make it short, sharp and interesting. Preparing what you are going to say helps to make a better Show and Share.
Learning intention: We can spell words with the digraph ou as in house.
Success criteria: I can test my understanding of spelling words that have the digraph kn as in knee.
Home learning task:
Students flip over the spelling book and write the numbers of their spelling words down the side of their page.
Students need to leave enough space underneath for their dictation.
SPELLING TEST
Watch the video to complete the spelling test. If it is moving too quick the student may press pause as they write the word.
DICTATION
Watch the video below and write the sentence as instructed on the video.
The video will also take the students through correcting their sentences.
Learning Intention:
We are learning how to read maps.
Success Criteria:
I can make a grid map and a key.
Grid Map- make your own in your maths book.
(In the field- students might like to sit in their backyard or at the park, like in the video, and observe different things to include on their map).
Student could also watch this clip and complete the short activity for some extra practise at finding grid references.

Or, print this page and students can have a go at finding the grid reference for each animal on the map. (Some students may have already seen this at school).
