Monday 9.15AM - All students logon to their grades Google Meet to discuss the learning for the week. This will not happen today because of Parent Teacher Zoom interviews. No task will be required to be submitted today.
Tuesday - Thursday - Students will be split into small learning groups. They will be required to logon to their 30 minute session on one of these days. Groups and times will be sent out later in the week to begin the following week Tuesday 18th August.
Friday 9.15AM - All students logon to their grades Google Meet to reflect on the learning learnt for the week and to have a dance off!
Remember the main form of communication for your class will be on the Google Classroom wall.

Activity
Using paper or cardboard, if you have any in your house make puppets of all the characters that were in the story. We will use these in Tuesday’s lesson to retell the story so keep them somewhere safe!

Challenge:
Write the names of the characters and make a list of words to describe them. For example the
Wolf was bad, naughty, hungry, etc.

Magic Word Activities
Point to random words (not in order) and child says the word
Ask the child to put the word in a sentence
Child finds the words in their Take-Home book or story book
Record words on cards and use to play games such as Fish, Snap, Magic Memory
Practise writing the words
Practise writing the words in shaving cream or rice
Go on a word hunt around the house. Write out 5-10 (more if you want some time to yourself) Magic Words (words that your child is still learning). Stick these words around the house without your child seeing. Write a list of the words that have been hidden and then send your child off to find them. When they find a word, they collect it and tick it off the list.

Today you are teaching your parents everything you learnt about 2D shapes and their features (corners and sides). Go for a walk around your house to see what 2D shapes you can find. How many rectangles could you find? How many squares? How many circles? What other 2D shapes did you find?
Activity: Make a shape poster to share your 2D shape knowledge with your parents.
