You Will Need-
Your draft weather report from last week
Paper, pencils, textas
Any props to help you look like a weather presenter.
Complete Page 44 of your handwriting book. Turn your best Ss into a snake.
Activity-
I know you did it yesterday, but we want to look professional. Read and re-read your report, read it expressively. Don’t forget to take note of the punctuation and to vary the tone of your voice. Have you improved since yesterday?
Choose at least 3 of these props to make or use:
*map of Australia
*weather symbol cards
*a weather background poster
*a microphone
*a great outdoor background showing the sky
*your own idea to match your report
If you have some time continue with independent writing on a topic of your choice. Remember to go through the process. Plan, draft, edit, conference, publish.

Success Criteria- I can think about what the punctuation is going to do to my reading voice as I see it.
Activity
Check out the video of Mr Reid trying on his best Pirate voice as he reads through the book 'Pirate Party', while using punctuation to help enhance his reading. Notice the kinds of things that he does with his voice as he comes to different punctuation. Next, you are going to have a go at reading your good fit book from this week and see if you can use the punctuation in the book to enhance your reading. There is also an extra challenge activity below the videos. Have fun!

I can order objects from smallest to largest capacity.
I understand that capacity is the ‘amount that something can hold’.
Meteorologists remember to record today’s weather on your Weather Chart (symbol and temperature).

small bucket milk carton

Worksheet: Estimate Capacity (p.85)
Use a paper cup to fill the following containers with water: ice-cream container, plastic bottle, small bucket and milk carton.
Estimate (guess) first then find the difference between the actual measurement and your estimate by subtracting.
Please note: if you don’t have those containers just substitute for something else.
You can either print the worksheet to record your answers or just record the results in a similar table in your Math book.
