Today we will be focusing on finishing our writing seeds that we have already started in our writer’s notebooks. We have noticed that quite a few students have made a fantastic start, but haven’t extended their learning to the next step.
Today we want you to go back, look through your writer’s notebooks, and see which writing seeds you have not finished. If you have noticed that there are some not finished, this is your time to analyse how you can complete it. Here are a few things we would like to see in each finished piece:
· The writing seed has been completed to the best of your ability
· You have created three different genre types for the seed
· You have created three different story ideas for your seed
· You have completed three different reasons for the authors purpose
· Finally, you can spend your time beautifying your pieces by colouring them in, and editing any elements you think need changing
Once these are finished they are a fantastic resource for future writing when we are struggling for motivation to think of new and exciting topics.
