Introduction:
Watch Mrs. Holmes introduce the lesson for today.
Activity:
Part One:
1. Rule a page into 4 sections.
2. Write the prefix sub - , pre - , mis - and tri- .
3. Watch the video and add the words to each section as you hear them.
4. Brainstorm and add as many words with each prefix to your list. (see example below)
Part Two:
Rule up a table with the columns, prefix, root word and meaning (see example below)
Select 5 words from your prefix brainstorm page.
Add them to the chart and separate the prefix, root word and find the definition.
Part Three:
Log onto Reading Eggspress and complete the set spelling lesson

Success Criteria: I have applied strategies for building on my writing stamina.
Tuning In: Revisit the seed pages from your Writer’s Notebook. Take some time to finish off or shape any seeds that you have not completed or would like to revisit and continue.
Activity:
Today you can choose to either continue the drafting process for a piece of writing you are already working on or to begin drafting a new piece of writing using a seed from your Writer’s Notebook.
Our aim today is to write independently for 30 minutes. Set a timer using your iPad or watch. If you are unsure, ask an adult or sibling to keep time for you.
Don't forget to practise the strategies of 'I lock my eyes and ears in' and 'I write the whole time'.
Extra Challenge: Explore the Roald Dahl website. There are lots of great games and packs for you to enjoy.

Today we want to find out what you know about money!! Please log on to your Essential Assessment account and complete the Money assessment task (without support from parents or siblings). We simply want to find out what you already know before we begin learning about money!
