Sam is taught to be afraid of Indigenous people. Mr Owen makes a comment to Sam that ‘behind every stand of trees, there are eyes that have no love’. The filmmaker attempts to reinforce this fear through creative filming techniques.
Step 1: Print off the worksheet below or write out the questions in your Reading workbook.

Step 2: Find the My Place link to the episode, ‘Sam’ on Google Classroom from the start of the week and watch the scene where Sam is trying to dig up the hard earth. You will need to fast forward to the 7 minute mark, and watch until a little after 8 minutes.
Step 3: Fill in the worksheet based on what you saw and heard. You may need to watch this scene a couple of times.
Step 4: Upload a photo of your work to Google Classroom.

3 - I live with someone who has a first name that rhymes with Finny.
4- I have 3 nieces/nephews that go to Bellbrae PS.

MAIN ACTIVITY: PROCEDURAL WRITING
Today our aim is to publish our writing & film it!
Step 1: After self-editing yesterday, take your time to publish your writing. Ensure you include diagrams, pictures and headings.
Step 2: Rehearse - After your publishing is complete, practise reading your procedure out loud and in a clear and loud voice.
Step 3: Prepare for filming - Gather all of your materials and equipment ready for filming.
Step 4: Filming - film your procedure or ‘How to’ video, while reading and performing the skill
Step 5: Upload your published writing & filmed ‘How To’ video to Google Classroom.

Main: Log onto Essential Assessment and access your pre/post-test under Measurement and Geometry, Volume and Capacity. Use the skills and strategies we have been working on this week to solve the problems to the best of your ability and submit when completed!
