Learning intention: We are learning to identify key information.
We will be successful if we can: Scan the website and record key dates and facts as well as organise our information into a convict profile.
Step 1: Watch the following video Pig Forgery. In this clip, Freddie is sharing with Alice about his past felonies (crimes). Freddie infers that he is a convict who has been sent from England to Australia as a punishment for his crimes. Alice asks Freddie, “Didn't you learn anything?” and Freddie tells Alice he plans to give up his criminal ways. We wonder how true this is as Freddie is engaged in a criminal act with Alice in painting the pig and swapping it for another pig in the race!
Step 2: Using the website below, create 2 convict profiles using the template provided. Again you can print this off or write your responses in your exercise book. Spend some time exploring the website and even try and find a convict with your surname!
Step 3: Upload your work to Google Classroom.

Today you will be making a quiz that will be made up of 10 true or false questions about life in the 1820’s.
Step 1: Open the template provided, you can either print and write on this or write it up in your writing book.
