Good morning, Year 1. If you haven't done so already, please upload your procedural text from last week.
Learning Intention- We are learning about the digraph /oo/ as in moon.
Success Criteria- I can use words with the /oo/ sound to create a short story.
Activity: Create a short story using the /oo words. For an extra challenge see if you can rhyme your story using the /oo/ words

Success Criteria- We can think about the rhyming words in a poem.
Activity
Now that you have had some practise with rhyming, you are going to have a go at putting some rhyming words into a poem. Below are three different poems, each poem has some words left out. You need to use your new rhyming skills to decide which word goes in the right place. Remember, it’s not "I don’t know"… It’s, "I'll give it a go!"
Please submit your procedural from last week.
Learning Intention- We are publishing our writing.
Success Criteria- A creatively presented acrostic for Dad that you are proud of.
Things you Need-
Draft acrostic about Dad, greylead, coloured pencils, water paints, fineliners, collage paper, any art equipment that you have and would like to use.
Activity-
-reread your acrostic from yesterday. Make sure you are absolutely happy with it.
-It’s time to publish. Plan how you want that to look.
-Write the poem again using your finest handwriting.
Each letter of Dad’s name should be a capital letter.
Get creative…
You could publish on paper, create a video, make a shape card. Whatever you think your Dad would like.
Take your time publishing. You should have a heading, one or more illustrations and don’t forget to include the Author’s name somewhere.
Hide it away until Father’s Day.

You will need:
length of streamer/paper strip around 30cm
Maths Book
Think of five events you do during a normal day and draw/write these down in order.
Think about how long each of these takes, and cut and paste a piece of your streamer down beside each event, (the longer the piece of streamer, the longer the event), to give a relative picture of time spent on each event.
Take a photo of your work and submit to Google Classroom. 😊
