Learning Intention: We are learning to plan for success in our Information Writing.
Success Criteria: I can...
use the ‘sorting and planning’ template to organise my ideas.
Please watch Miss Evans' short video to help you with today's work!
Today we are learning how to organise our ideas when writing an information report. You will be using the research you did at school about your Information Report topic.
Yesterday, you ordered three interesting facts from your own research from most exciting to least exciting. You will use these facts today to create a plan for three different paragraphs!
You were given two pieces of paper to take home which are the templates you will use to plan. Today we are using the worksheet that looks like this:
If you can’t find these pieces of paper or don’t have them, please copy the template above into your English book. Use will need to use a ruler to draw your table.
Just like on the example above, on your planning template, you need to:
Give each section a name, e.g. 'where honey bees live', 'what honey bees eat'.
List the facts you have for each of your sections (use your research for this part!)
Put an order on your sections:
Give the 'very' interesting section a number 1 - this will be your first paragraph.
Give the 'medium' interest section a number 2 - this will be your second paragraph.
Give the most interesting section a number 3 - this will be your third paragraph.
Please make sure you watch Miss Evans' video for today as it explains how to fill in your table.
LI: We are learning to recall the multiplication facts to 10 x 10.
SC: We will be successful if we can:
-use what we know to work out unknown facts
-we can recall the times tables
See the video below for the answer.
Tuning In: Colour in the 1-100 chart showing the multiples of 5.

What do you notice about the answers? Write a sentence explaining how you solve these.
Complete this drill sheet as promptly as you can. Copy the equation and answer in your Maths book. Keep a record of how long it takes you. We are hoping to become more fluent with these equations.
