Today's task to be uploaded to Google Classroom: Reading
Learning intention: We are learning to use punctuation to help us read fluently
Success Criteria: I can upload a video to show that I can use punctuation during reading.
Home learning activity:
Watch the above videos
Get your punctuation puppets and a Good Fit book
Ask an adult to film you reading for no longer than a minute. Show two of your punctuation puppets in the video and explain what your voice should do when you see it. Mrs WK has shown you an example in the video.
Learning intention: We are learning to edit our writing.
Success Criteria: I can edit my writing to check that I have used
full stops
commas
upper case / capital letters only at the start of sentences and for the names of people and places.
Resources:
Ranger Guide
Today we are going to practise editing our writing to make sure we have used punctuation and capital letters correctly.
Mild: Use yesterday’s recount to edit.
Spicy: Write another recount about a different Australian Animal that you have encountered. Add this to your Ranger Guide.
Editing our writing: Once we have written our recount we need to edit our writing piece.
Make sure you make changes by putting a line through the part you want to change and add the change next to or above the letter or word you are changing.
You do not need to rub out or rewrite the whole recount again and we definitely don’t need to scribble out mistakes.
Learning intention: I can spell words with the prefix /re-/ meaning repeating or backwards.
Success Criteria: I can identify the consonant and vowel sounds in my spelling words.
