Wild Rice and Turkey/Chicken Casserole

Modified Betty Crocker's Casserole

2 cups cut-up cooked turkey or chicken

2 1/4 cups boiling water

1/3 cup milk

1/4 cup onion (green or regular), chopped or sliced

1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted (you can also

used cream of chicken or cream of celery)

1 package (6 oz - so Rice a Roni is too small in the normal size and under

by .1 oz in the family size, but Uncle Ben's is perfect) original flavor

long grain and wild rice mix

Can garnish with more sliced green onions if desire

Heat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients, including seasoning packet from rice

mix, in ungreased 2 quart casserole.

Cover and bake 45-50 minutes or until rice is tender. Uncover and bake 10-15

minutes longer or until liquid is absorbed. Sprinkle with green onions if

you so desired.

Makes 6 servings.
