Wacky Cake

Modified from Apple Turnover Murder

*This says this was a WWII recipe, made for rationing.

1 ½ cups flour

1 cup sugar

½ tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

3 tbsp cocoa powder

6 tbsp oil

1 tsp vanilla (I want to use raspberry extract next time)

1tbsp raspberry vinegar (or any flavor)

1 cup cold water

Put flour to cocoa powder in a bowl. Blend together. Make three holes (they called them "pukas" and put oil in one, extract in second and veingear in third. Pour water over all of it. Mix it up until smooth.

Bake in any regular sized pan for 30 minutes (I used 9 by 9 square) at 350. Serve warm. Can serve with whipped cream or just powdered sugar. I actually did chocolate frosting. The issue was then I couldn't reheat it as my frosting wasn't something I could heat up.
