Raspberry Shortcake Bars

Modified from Devil's Food Cake Murder


2 cups all purpose flour

¼ tsp powdered sugar

1½ butter, softened, cubed

1 can (21 oz) raspberry pie filling (or another flavor)


Preheat to 350.


Mix flour and powdered sugar. Cut in butter.


Put half the mixture into a greased 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake at 12-15 minutes or until just browned. Let cook for 5 minutes.


Spread pie filling over top of crust. Spring the other half of the crust over the pie filling. Gently press down with a spatula.


Bake for 35 minute or until top is lightly golden.


Cool completely. (It helps to refrigerate them.) Sprinkle with powdered sugar then cut into squares.
