Baked Cavatelli

7 oz dried cavatelli [pick a pasta....this is just what they used]

12 oz Italian sausage links, sliced

3/4 cup chopped onion

2 cloves minced garlic

26 oz jar pasta sauce

10 oz shredded mozzarella

1/4 tsp black pepper

Cook pasta and drain. Cooke sausage, onions and garlic. [I find it is easier to cook the sausage separately and then slice it plus I use Johnsonville Sweet Italian and it comes in like 20 oz, so I cook it all and then use the other stuff later (Adam will happily eat it anytime!)]. Mix sauce, 3/4 of the cheese and pepper. Add pasta and sausage mixture. Stir to combine. Spoon into 2 quart casserole. Bake, covered, for 25-30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with rest of the cheese. Bake 5 more minutes or until cheese is melted.
