Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Modified from Better Homes and Gardens

3/4 cup margarine

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground cloves

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 3/4 cups flour

2 cups rolled oats

1 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 375. In a large mixing bowl beat margarine with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves. Beat until combined. Beat in the flour. Stir in rolled oats and raisins by hand.

Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls 2 inches apart on a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Cool cookies on a wire rack.

Makes 3 dozen cookies (it said 5 with raisins, as you can see I got a LOT less).
