5 lb potatoes

1 cup butter flavored Crisco

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp salt

3 cups flour

Cook potatoes until tender and then rice (you need 10 cups of riced potatoes). Mix Crisco, sugar and salt into potatoes. Divide batter into halves, at this point each half should be about 2 3/4 pounds. Add 1 1/2 cups flour to each half. Knead in flour. Cut each half into 11-15 pieces. Roll out and fry on 500 degree griddle. Use sifter for flour when rolling each piece out (keeps from being too dry).
