Blueberry Jam

Modified from Pick Your Own

10 cups blueberries (6 1/2 cups mushed), washed

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup water

4 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 box no-sugar added pectin (the pink box)

Sterilize the jars. Crush berries. Measure sugar and set aside 1/4 cup sugar and mix with pectin. Mix blueberries and pectin/sugar and bring to a full boil. Add rest of sugar and boil, hard, for 1 minute. Test jell. Fill and process (check times, they change due to altitude). Remove and cool.

Makes about 10 jelly jars.
