Whole Wheat (50%) Bread

Modified from West Bend

***Recommend bread machine use, but you could also cook this in the oven if you really wanted***

1 1/2 cup warm water

1 1/2 tsp honey

2 tbsp butter

2 cups bread flour

2 cups wheat flour (you can mix in barley flour as well)

2 tbsp brown sugar, packed

2 tbsp dry milk

1 1/2 tsp salt

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast.

Put in bread maker in order your manufacturer recommends (this is my order). Put on whole wheat setting. Makes 2 lb loaf.
