When critics say, it would be leftist, to demand a Freedom Dividend, that is not true. To get unconditional the goods you need to stay alive, in freedom, is never a leftist idea. It’s more libertarian. But that all people in a country, are forced to work and this for the government, could be a pure socialist idea. That party committees steering the whole country and what people have to do, is well known, in communist societies . Therefore basic income is not a left idea. Much more, leftist want to force people to work, to be part of the working class. The freedom, what to work, how much, and if at all, is a more modern idea.
Some thoughts about politics. - Good ideas could be permanently promoted by the people and not only by leaders in the presidential campaign. Building citizens initiatives for basic income in most part of a country. Networking over the internet with people worldwide and supporting the basic income idea. Basic income are the goods we need. So these goods have to be produced and we people in a country are responsible for this production. This is our work for basic income.
This means, government isn’t important as some people want make us believe. All goods are produced by us, the people and not the government. But in a country with dictatorship, and it doesn’t matter, if this is one person or a group of persons, parties and so on, people are forced to do what those people want. They have to work, what they say. And this is socialism.
Most part of the administration thing, should get into the hands of all people. The technique for that, is already there. It is the internet and computer technology. The best form of administration in a Freedom Dividend age, would by direct democracy.
