There are a lot of questions reviewing the article from Olivia Goldhill. First, what do the author know about basic income (universal basic income, UBI)? - There are many different perspectives on this matter, and possibilities to combine principles. And every single person should find out, which direction one will prefer. - And sure, a reporter or journalist has to find out her own focus on this subject. And if you do not do this, you have no angle for your starting point in a discussion. Second, the author should show her own vote on this idea. - “Are you an opponent or an advocate of UBI?”

Because you have different opportunities to handle this subject, every discussion is constructed! - The only way to be honest and credible, is to describe your own thoughts about this matter. - That means, it is impossible to be a journalist! - When you are writing, discussing and analyzing a subject, it only can be your way.

Ms. Goldhill is quoting “Bloomberg”, but there are so many people calculating this idea, and there are a lot, who say, “it will work”, but Ms. Goldhill is only quoting Bloomberg. - So, this is not enough. - How can we fund basic income? If no one is dying at the moment in your community, everyone has a basic income. What does this mean? If you are exist, you have a basic income, and there is no funding necessary. Your existence shows us, that you have all those goods your body needs to stay alive. And that is the first step in implementing a basic income. - The next step is, to make the supply of those goods to you, unconditional. - When you did this, you have introduced “basic income” in your society.

This means, economy production can stay on the level as it is, or decrease, because income is no longer connected to “work”. And it is not necessary to decree new taxes or rise them.

Who thinks, that someone could be worse off, when receiving a basic income? - If you can understand the idea of “basic income”, you know, that the arrangement of this idea will always include enough goods for your basic needs. - You never can be lose out.

If you are acquainted with this idea of cultural development fulfillment, you know, that basic income means food, clothing, housing, heating and electricity, and has nothing to do with “welfare”. - It's the idea of a knew society. Words like “unemployed” and “workfare” will become less important or disappear. - For your basic needs, you will have basic income. And if there are additional needs, like for people with disabilities, you will get additional support.

Basic income is a step in the right direction.
