Basic income has nothing to do with "fighting the rich". We are not looking for the "moneybags". - But it is the "continuing delivery of the necessary goods" we need to stay alive!
This situation in the economy doesn't fit the socialist ideology. The supporters of this view on society want to fight against "enemies". Such as "businessmen", to get their moneybags.
But basic income is the continues production of the small group of products our bodies need physically for their lifetime. And this has nothing to do with "fighting", but working in the production and redistributing the things we have produced.
So the problem of the "trade unions" is, that they are looking at the wages with an ideological view. - Basic income does not mean "more production" (today's production [=wages] plus basic income) but the same or less production.
Basic income is a "relabeling" of income. - A part of the wages which are today "from the employer" to hundred percent, will become "relabeled" as "from the community". Those changes have the effect that the employer has less "wage-costs". And the businessman can make his products cheaper. - This fact is vital to the basic-income society.
Basic income does not mean, that we get "more money as we have now". The money will be set off against other revenues. Such as "wages". The reason is, we don't want to produce more, to have a basic income. We want this income "with no conditions". We have enough goods today, to supply all people in the world. We have an overproduction. - But poor people have to have more "rights" to take from those goods.

The problem is that some people want to hold on to their thinking. And they try to make basic income suitable to their thoughts. But in this way, basic income will be "misused".
