The 2024 Democratic Primary in New York City, a funcionally nigh uncontested contest, the biggest results from this race are the location—and type—of protest votes that comprised 22% of the City's electorate.
Here, While most of the City voted for Biden, as a result of Pro-Palestinian Protest voting, Blank Ballots took a sizable 14.84%, doing Best in Bushwick and Greenwood Followed by Fort Green, Prospect Heights, Park Slope and Astoria.
Interestingly, Blank Ballots also did well in Chinatown; further, while not comparable to the aforementioned, it did put up decent numbers throughout not just the rest of Lower Manhattan, but Uptown in Spanish East Harlem, Cenral Harlem and Washington Heights.
Comparatively, Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson's Minniscule vote was mainly concentrated in South Brooklyn and Staten Island, with scatterings Showing up in Wueens as well as the Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
Biden's Percentage was increadibly high throughout the city, only seeing him somewhat dip in Washington heights and in the Western Bronx, whilst he suffered greater protest votes throughout the non-African Communities of Queens and Brooklyn,
especially in the Progressive and Southern Brooklyn Jewish Orthodox areas. Interestingly he didn't see much protest voting north of the Navy yard which is home to a smaller orthodox community than in South Brooklyn.
Lastly, taking a look ad the individual Shares and especially the Other Candidates vs Blank, we find that Williamson and Phillips broadly matched or outpaced Blank in the outer boroughs, with the progressive neighboorhoods being an exception—with Blank dominating throughout Manhattan.
