In preperation for the 2022 Midterms I thought it prudent to take a look 2020 Presidential Vs Senate Results for Arizona by State legislative district, as the 2022 AZ Senate race will be a race that will be pivotal in deciding controll of the senate in 2022.
In defiance of conventional wisdom that trends take some time too make their way downballot Sen. Kelly was able too defy that and in short he ended up Getting Biden numers in the Suburbs, outperforming him in all but 3 senate districts, tieing in one, and underperforming by less than 1% in two.
Generally Speaking, Kelly outperformed Biden by ~2% in most legislative districts, Outperforming the best by 4.8% in the Ruby red 5th District, and the underperforming the worst by 0.8% in the 23rd LD.
All in All when compared to Biden, Kelly had a decently impressive performance, and considering he was only the second Democrat to win a senate seat in Arizona since 1988, and one of few to overperform Biden in the Suburbs, his performance, and strength should not be understated.
