Mary Peltola was able to win this election in a surprise 3% win thanks to the legendary unpopularity of Sara Palin, with the latter Edging out the Grandson of the Last Democrat to hold this seat before Peltola Nick Begich III.
In winning Peltola has become the first Alaska Native to win Any state-wide office In Alaska A monumental Goal for Minority representation, even as she faces an Uphill battle to win the General General election.
Based On Cinycs Calculations the coalitions line up similarly to the Universal Swing calculations, With Peltola being propelled to a victory thanks to her 16% Margin in anchorage, in addition to holding up well in the rest of Alaska, Overpowering the Mat-Su Valley Base of Palin's support.
One big diference comes in the Bush Districts, Where there is a concentration of Begich-Peltola Voters, though this wasn't electorally potent due to the poor turnout of these districts as compared to the rest of Alaska.
