The 2024 Presidential Election In Ohio, in the Contest between Incumbent President Ronald Reagan and former Vice President Walter Mondale, Ohio—as a bell weather and swing state—voted for Reagan in a landslide which slightly lagged his national win
Coming in a few percent less Democratic than the Nation, Mondale's win in the industrial western & Northwestern of Ohio as well as Cincinatti & Cleaveland and the State's rural areas were his only true wins in the state
By Contrast, Reagan won everywhere else, Trouncing Mondale in the heavilly German Rural West of the State as well as Columbus and its suburbs—winning there thanks to the areas' respective longstanding rural and business conservatisms.
