The 2000 PA Auditor General Election, a contest between Incumbent Bob Casey, and Lancaster area Representative Katie True Resulted in a 16.9% Landslide for the incumbent, around a point larger compared to his 15.7% landslide in 1996.
Casey's term as Auditor General went off without a hitch, earning him commendation for his work, which combined with the fact he was the popular son of a former governor made the task of unseating him nearly imposible.
Compared to his 1996 Run, Casey did much better in the Collar Counties, and Lehigh Valley, winning Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties where he lost them last time.
By contrast, he did worse in the rural ares of the state, losing counties such as Centre, Wayne and Somersett where he won them in 1996.
In terms of House districts, Casey won 146/203 to True's 57/203, in terms of Senate Disteicts Casey won 37/50 to True's 13/50 and in terms of Congressional districts Casey won 16/21 to True's 5/21 CDs and in terms of counties, Casey won 35/67 to True's 32/67
