2020 NC Chief Justice Supreme Court Election

In one of the closest races of 2020, the North Carolina Supreme Court Race became one of the most evenly divided races in the country. This Race pitted Judge Paul Newby against anointed Incumbent NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley.

Beasley Has been described as one of the strongest possible Recruits for the NC Senate race in 2022. and despite her loss it does show, Despite Biden loosing the State by 1.34% Beasley Lost by 0.008% and less than 1,000 Votes.

However, Despite her near win, this map showcases the problem for Democrats in North Carolina, as Newby was not blown out in the Eastern Rural, and even in the western rural Newby maxed in the 70s Percentile.

Furthermore, despite that, the fact that she was able to over-perform Biden, and does not currently hold office, she is one of the best possible recruits as even in this loss she still showcased that she has strength, as she would have won if less than 1000 people changed their vote.
