In the 2022 Pennsylvania Senate race, Democratic Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman Improved upon President Joe Biden's Margins almost uniformly throughout the city, helping him to best TV Doctor Mehmet Oz.
Fetterman's Best improvements over Biden came in the White Liberal, White Working class, and Hispanic areas of Philadelbia; broadly matching Biden in the African American areas of the city, and only underperforming in a corner of Northwest Philadelphia
Early on in the campaign, Republicans argued that they could make inroads into Philadelphia because it was Fetterman's weakest spot in the primary, and they thought that Fetterman was weak with the A.A. vote in the city, and therefore Oz had an opening to narrow the Philly margin
This did not happen, and in fact strong turnout in Philly and the swing towards him from 2020 President proved pivotal in Fetterman's victory.
