The 2019 NJ Assembly Elections, a decent Showing for the GOP in what was then Dubbed the "Murphy Midterm" which resulted in the only State legislative flips being in the 1st State Legislative district with Now State Senator Mike Testa leading the GOP Comeback in South NJ.
Beyond Mike Testa's Win, the NJ GOP tried to utilize Phil Murphy's Mediocre aprooval ratings an issue, succeeding in drawing the state to a result akin to that of a neutral national environment. However, they did not gain any other swing seats, losing LD's 2, 16, and 38.
