The 2021 NJ 21st Legislative district Election, A contest between longtime Assemblyman and GOP Assembly leader Jon M. Bramnick, and newcommer Joseph Signorello III to succeed retiring Senate GOP Leader Tom Kean Jr.
This race was seen early on as one of the Dem's potential targets in 2021, however the down ballot nature of the district, and Bramnick's strength kept this district in GOP hands for two more years.
Like the senate election, the Assembly election also gave Republican's wins in 2021, with Bramnick's co assembly woman Nancy Muñoz, and first time candidate Michele Matsikoudis pulling wins, partly thank's to Bramnick's coattails in this Murphy + 2% district.
In the end, this was one of two seats to differ from the Gubernatorial Results in the Senate, the other being Gopal's LD-11, and the only one in the Assembly, with no other district voting for the opposite party than it did for governor in the chamber.
