The 2012 Presidential election in GA's 12th Congressional District, the final reelection for Democratic Congressman John Barrow resulted in him beating State Senator Lee Anderson by a 7.5% Margin.
As a consequence of Redistricting and GA Republicans seeking to make Barrow's reelection dificult they had moved his Savannah Home outside of the district Barrow Represented in an attempt to draw him out
Undaunted he moved to and ran in the 12th Congressional District; enphasizing his independence and conservatism in effective ads as he had in his prior runs Barrow was able to outperform Obama by 19.3%.
Overperforming Obama by significant Margins with the district's Rural White vote and holding to Obama's numbers with the district's African American vote—in doing so winning his final term in congress.
