The 2008 Puerto Rican Gubernatorial election. Whereby Indicted PPD governor Aníbal Acevedo Vilá was seeking another Term, and was challenged by Incumbent Resident Commissioner Luis Fortuño.
This election was not close, thanks to Acevedo Vilá's Unpopularity, this election resulted in the PNP winning by a margins of upwards of 10% producing their best election result since the party's founding in the 60s.
