The 2000s US. House elections in the State of New York, the last time New York had 31 Seats, this election saw a multitude of comfortable reelections for most elected congressmembers.
Despite this bevy of comfortable victories, the closest election ended up being that of the then non-incumbent representative, and future DCCC chair, Steve Israel in CD-02, a seat vacated by 2000 NY GOP Senate Nominee Rick Lazio who lost to Hillary Clinton.
