Whilst incumbent Pat Toomey would win the general election in a modest upset, the third place Finisher - Then Braddock Mayor @JohnFetterman - would win the seat for the democratic party six years Later upon the Republican Senator's Retirement.
In her nearly 10% win, McGinty would end up carrying 16/18 Congressional Districts, 39/50 Senate Districts and 151/203 House Districts.
