The 1932 At-Large Senate elections, were demonstrative of the autonmist's defeat in after the begining of the great depression, and return to power for the Estadistas - who last held power in 1906.
With the Partido Socialista Obrero de Puerto Rico(PS/PSOP) and the Partido Union Republicano(PUR) [Estadistas] combined defeating El Partido Liberal(PLP), The At large senate elections would coencide with a major success for their Coalition.
It should also be noted that these senate elections were ones with some of the most historical leaders of Puerto Rico's history running in them.
As former Senate President Antonio Barceló, and political Newcomer Luis Muñoz Marin running under the Liberal Banner, Bolívar Pagán under the Socialist Banner, and Pedro Albizu Campos under the Nationalist Banner all ran in these elections, with the first 3 winning seats in the senate,
On a similar note, the house elections were held concurently with the senate elections, and with a similar coalition, resulted in the house having a similar composition to the senate in terms of at large seats
Though, with the absense of historical ficures like the senate, is considered to be less notable in terms of grandeur.
