The 2012 Presidential Election of NJ, the Best Showing for Any Democrat since 1964, and the largest Margin for a Democrat since 1996, resulted in Incumbent President Barrack Obama Besting former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney
Barrack Obama Bested Mitt Romney in the dominantly suburban State by this margin thanks to his response to Hurricane Sandy, which brought him much praise from across the state.
To this effect, turnout in the predominantly republican shore counties of Monmouth and Ocean were down, which combined with improvements in all groups compared to 2008 further helped Obama win by the margin he did.
In his 2012 Victory, President Obama carried 8/12 Congressional Districts to Romney'2 4/12 CDs, 14 Counties to Romney's 7 Counties, and 28 Legislative Districts to Romney's 12 LDs.
