killing, stealing and sexual misconduct.

The four verbal non-virtues are: lying,

divisiveness, harsh speech and

senseless speech.

The three mental non-virtues are:

covetousness, harmful intent

and wrong view.

有三種行為的不善:

殺生, 偷盜及不當的性行為.

有四種言語的不善:

說謊, 挑撥, 粗暴的語言

和無意義的談話.

三種心念的不善:

貪念, 破壞性的念頭

和錯誤的觀念.

註：惡的三業，在身方面為殺生、偷盜、邪淫；口方面為妄語、綺語、惡口、兩舌；意方面為貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡，總稱為「十惡」
