I tell my generation that

we were born during the darkest

period in our long history.

There is a big challenge and it is very

unfortunate. But if there is a challenge

then there is an opportunity to face it,

an opportunity to demonstrate

our will and our determination.

So from that viewpoint I think

that our generation is fortunate.

我告訴這一代的人

我們生存在有史以來最黑暗的時代.

很不幸的, 我們面對著巨大的挑戰.

但伴隨挑戰而來的則是面對它的機會,

展現意志與決心的機會.

從這個觀點來看, 我們是幸運的.
