When things are not going well for

someone we dislike, what is the point in

rejoicing? It does not make his present

suffering any worse and even if it did,

how sad it would be that we should

wish such a thing.

當我們所厭惡的人諸事不順的時候,

我們有什麼理由暗自高興?

這不會加重他目前受的苦, 就算真的會,

我們有這樣的願望還真是悲哀啊.
