On one occasion I entered

a hospital in Calcutta where they used

huge machines; but they failed in their

diagnosis. Our Tibetan doctors, without

any instruments, touch the wrists,

listen to the various pulses, examine

the person, and know quite precisely

what is wrong. The whole system is

really remarkable.

曾有一個機緣我來到

加爾各答的一間醫院,

他們擁有巨型精密的機器設備;

卻常診斷錯誤.

我們西藏的醫生,

不用工具, 靠著接觸手腕,

傾聽各種脈象, 檢視病人,

就可以挺精準的知道那裡出了問題.

這樣的系統真讓人讚嘆.
