It seems to me that God has fallen

asleep somewhere. I was joking, as you

might imagine, since we make no

allowance for a creator god. But it is

true that if God has fallen asleep, then

it is our job to wake Him up. One can't blame

all our troubles on God. Nor on

destiny, nor on Karma, which is our law

of the chain of cause, of deeds and

effects. All this comes from a rather

cowardly attitude.

在我看來上帝在某個地方睡著了.

你可以想像這是句玩笑話,

我們並不認為世界有一個造物者.

但上帝若真的睡著了,

我們就有責任把祂叫醒.

我們不能把所有的問題都推給上帝,

不能怪命運, 也不能歸為業報
