To overcome attachment we should
meditate on the ugliness of what
attracts us. The antidote to pride is
meditation on the aggregates. To
counteract ignorance we should
concentrate on the movement of the
breath and on interdependence. The
root of the mind’s turmoil is, in fact,
ignorance on account of which we
fail to understand the true nature
of things. The mind is brought under
control by purifying mistaken
notion of reality.
為了克服貪愛, 我們得深思
那些吸引我們的東西的醜陋面.
自傲的解毒劑是對於蘊聚的禪修.
要對抗無知, 我們得專注於呼吸的起伏,
也注意到相互的關連.
讓心靈混亂的根源, 實際上, 就是無知
-- 使我們無法了解事情的真相.
能將被誤解的實相還原澄清時,
心靈就會回到我們的控制之下.
