"Anti" Social Media?
We have been introducing lots of new language with our welsh topic of "Teledu" by playing games against each other in pairs and also using Google randomiser to randomly select players to see who can say a type of television programme first in Welsh!
It was obvious from the very beginning of this topic that many of us did not really know the functions of many Social media apps and their age restrictions. We therefore used Google to research and drew a table in our topic books.
We conducted interviews with each other discussing digital footprint.
We have been given an amazing opportunity to open a Cafe for Sports day! It is the first time this has happened in our school and we were so excited to be able to send an email to Mr Hughes to persuade him to allow us to open a cafe.
We used the acronym 🌲"A.F.O.R.E.S.T"🌲...

First of all we had to understand what exactly is AFOREST so we wrote some examples in our book -
Next we compiled a draft text -
Then we constructed an individual email using the AFOREST technique -
NEXT WE WORKED TOGETHER TO SEND ONE EMAIL TO MR HUGHES -
MR HUGHES RESPONSE!
After completing CAFFI Cwmlai, Dosbarth Arian created their own spreadsheets that included the products we needed if we were to open Caffi Cwmlai again for a future sports day. The challenge however, was to get products that were the best vaule for money and would create the best profit. The children researched different stores with different prices and worked as a group to get the most for their money. This was all presented as a spreadsheet.
We wanted to know more about Social Media and Mental Health so we completed a comprehension.
