St Dwynwen's Day!
We looked at the story of St Dwynwen and as a class, we discussed what 'love' means to each of us. We then created a small poster to show what love means to us, how we express it to others and what gestures make us feel loved. It was important that we acknowledged that not everyone feels love in the same way and how you can love people differently, in different types of relationships.
For World Mental Health Week, we wrote down at least 5 things that we like about ourselves. We then swapped our books with a friend in the class and asked if they could write 5 things that they like about us. We wanted to focus more on self-esteem, as we felt, as a class, that is something that is important to us and our mental health.
We loved being rule breakers for the day! 🥰😜
SHINE!
Shine came to visit us to talk all about healthy friendships.
SHINE!
We played emotion games. We had to guess what emotion our friends were expressing by looking at their facial expressions and body language.
SHINE!
We focused on empathy and how to show it to our friends.
SHINE!
We also engaged in an activity that helped us to understand the responsibility of our actions and how our actions and words can effect others.

What a fantastic idea by the Community Committee to hold a BOOK BONANZA! Diolch yn fawr iawn!
What a great opportunity to showcase all that we have done over the term to the Welsh heritage judge, in the hopes of winning an award! The children did a wonderful job sharing our version of a Welsh women timeline.
We put together a small display for the judge which showcased some of our hard work including clay models, legends and poems as well as AI. The judge was very impressed. Our topic has opened so many avenues to explore in Welsh women history and we have enjoyed every minute of it. "Creative Cariad's bringing Welsh history to life!"
