Why did the circus come to town?
The children created a Jamboard stating what they already know. Then they created questions that they would like to find out about the Circus.
Children investigated colour, through mixing primary colours to create secondary and tertiary colours. Then they looked at paint pallets and match colours and sorted into cold and warm colours.
We explored line and texture
Cirque Du Soleil.
The children researched the famous Cirque Du Soleil to find out information about their shows. They completed a table illustrating their findings. They researched the costumes, different countries and different circus acts.
The children created a moodboard on Jamboard to express their likes and dislikes.
Children used videos on You tube to explore different paper folding techniques.
They worked in pairs to practise the different techniques.
They chose some techniques to use in their mask designs.

Children followed their designs to make the masks.
First they create the base using paper mache, then cut the masks to the correct shape. They painted the background and added their folding techniques.

We received a video from Abdul Kazam. He asked us to investigate different forces, for example push and pull, gravity and magnetism.
We investigated push and pull, creating a Venn diagram to show our results.
We carried out an investigation ' What surface will the car travel the furthest on?'. From this we gained knowledge about Friction.
