LNF/DCF (Y4 Summer)
We thought about the different things we do for entertainment like watching films and shows, playing video games and watching TV.
It made us wonder what people did in the past without video games.
Through research, we loved discovering different types of entertainment in the past.
We were shocked that we still use things like jigsaws, dominoes and cards for entertainment today!

" Tuesday " By David Wiesner
During the summer term , we read "Tuesday" by David Weisner. This book inspired us to investigate the genre of newspapers and reports in general.

We wrote some scripts for a breaking news report and used the green screen to make some movies.
The children worked from these scripts to make their Breaking News clips.
We investigated Compass Points and directions, in Maths along with number work. This was done through daily challenges. Year 4 were encouraged to challenge themselves as achieve more than they thought possible.
