Digital Leaders

Meeting Minutes: 

AUTUMN TERM 

9/10/2023 

• We assigned a chair and vice chairperson for the digital leaders Senedd Group. 

• We unboxed and set up the new set of school iPads

• We joined the new 'Digital Leaders Google Classroom'. 

• We discussed what we want to achieve as digital leaders this year. 

• We recorded our thoughts and ideas on Google Classroom.

15/11/2023 

• We split up into groups and visited each of the Senedd groups to take a group photograph. We then used Adobe Express to create posters for each of the 10 groups which can now be used to create a 'Senedd' display in the school hall and can also be added to the school's e-Portfolio. 

• We talked about the need to raise money to buy a new charging trolley for the new set of school iPads. In the next session, we will write a letter that can be sent out to local companies. 

• We looked at the existing digital leaders display board in the Ks2 corridor and discussed what we can change/add to it to update it. 

SPRING TERM 

• We worked alongside the curriculum to design a new 'Golden Book Certificate'  that will be given out during the celebration assembly on a Thursday.  We decided it would be a good idea to incorporate the 4 characters into the certificate. 

SUMMER TERM

• During the summer term, we focussed on improving our coding skills using Scratch. 

• The year 6 children used their knowledge of Scratch to teach the younger digital leaders and 'up-skill' them. 

• The digital leaders then went back to their class and taught the rest of their class how to create a scratch game. 

• With the new allocation of HWB funding assigned to us, we discussed what the money should be spent on. We decided that it would be beneficial to purchase a new set of Chromebooks out of the money so that classes wouldn't have to share the Chromebooks so much. The aim over the next 2/3 years is for each class to have their own set of Chromebooks.
