Wear Red for Velindre
On Friday, February 2nd, we wore red to raise money and awareness for Velindre. As a school this is a charity close to our hearts that has supported many families in our community.
Express yourself day
As part of Children's Mental Health week we asked children to celebrate by dressing in a way that expressed themselves. The children thoroughly enjoyed this. Lots of discussions were had about what makes children unique and how to feel good about themselves.
School Eisteddfod
Our school Eisteddfod is a part of our Welsh celebrations in Cwmlai. The children enjoyed celebrating by creating art work from Welsh artist Eloise Govier, reciting a poem in Welsh, singing Welsh songs and learing a Welsh folk dance.

We celebrated World Book Day with lots of fun activities. We designed our own 'Cwilt' from the story 'Sion Cwilt'. We made wooden spoon characters and were lucky enough to share a story with the children from year 4.
Internet Safety
We learnt about how to keep safe on the internet and designed posters to teach others how to keep safe.
