We began the topic by studying a number of different images of celebrities. The children were told that these images were taken from various newspapers and had to guess what the headline was for each of the photographs. After much discussion, the children then had to discuss whether or not they thought the photographs were 'Real' or 'Fake'. After revealing that all of the images the children had seen were indeed fake and created using AI the discussed what issues could arise from creating such images.
The children decided on a question for the new topic and used Adobe Express to create a front cover for the new topic.

Year 6 were given opportunities to scrutinise films and clips, and to spot enhancements and AI. The classes were given the challenge f looking at clues and guessing the Topic.
The children were shown this clip, and the AI enhanced photographs of King Charles, and were asked to make the connection between these sources. After discussion, they came up with an accurate explanation, the topic was to be based on Human Intelligence v Artificial Inteligence!
Science Lego Mindstorms
Year 6 worked hard to follow instructions on the i-pad to create a Lego buggy.
Once the Lego buggies had been completed, they were used to investigate surface area and friction. The children planned an investigation, including predictions and fair testing. This was carefully carried out in groups.
Findings were carefully recorded Speed of the Lego Buggy was carefully worked out using the formula, Speed + Distance over Time. Data was displayed in a variety of ways.
Making chemical reactions
The children understood chemical reactions, used chemical symbols and displaid their data
Year 6 explored their creativity through shading and experimenting with colour and pencil pressure, with a focus of human meeting robot.
